Today, the whole of India is following the Janta Curfew to fight the threat of coronavirus. People across the country have stepped up to beat coronavirus and are determined to stay in their homes. Roads are empty, trains are not plying and markets are deserted. People are stopping the spread of coronavirus infection by sitting at house, showing resolve and restraint as asked for by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, there are some services that are still running today. Doctors, police, media are still working amid the global pandemic. Healthcare professionals are busy saving lives, the police are ensuring people follow the Janta Curfew, and the media is bringing all the happenings of the country and the world related to coronavirus to you at your home.

Applauding Corona Warriors

Lauding the hard work of medical professionals, sanitation staff, airline crews, delivery persons and media personnel among others, Modi asked people to express gratitude to them by giving them a five-minute standing ovation at 5 pm on Sunday by clapping hands, beating plates or ringing out bells.

Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal on Sunday announced that in view of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Railways has decided that no passenger train will run up to 31st March.

In a tweet, Goyal said, “Strengthening precautions against COVID-19, Railways has decided that no passenger train will run up to 31st March. Let us work together as #IndiaFightsCorona”
